Petals and More Series
The Petals and More series strives to convey the energy Lone feels when contemplating plants and flowers. She beckons you
to travel towards their centre, their life giving force. She paints the essence of what she sees in a flower and much more.
Vibrant colour and texture, fundamental to her visual vocabulary, overtake her canvases. Sometimes she populates her dream-
scapes with imaginary birds and feathers, surrounding them with loosely painted renderings of magical water and sky. Other
times, she takes us on a journey to underwater realms, full of transparent streams of light and colour.
The paintings serve as a further exploration of her internal topographies and as a link between her prior body of works and her
current focus, the vibrant energy series.
